Grandma and Grandpa were here!

Here is a picture of Steve, Jacob and Zachary enjoying Mothers Day by watching golf! Jacob and Zachary love to watch sports with Steve. Zachary especially loves to watch golf. I think it is painfully boring, but for some reason he just loves it. Yes, Steve needs new shorts badly! Also, the boys dress themselves...so I take no blame when they don't match or wear crazy looking stuff!



We had grandma and grandpa (Steve's parents) here for a quick visit. They arrived Thursday afternoon and stayed until Saturday around lunch. We had a great time. The boys were just ecstatic about them coming and were just counting down the minutes. So Thursday afternoon they had grandma and grandpa playing soccer, baseball, hockey, Sorry, etc. They didn't even give them a chance to unload their stuff before they had them playing outside.



Steve took off work early Thursday and was off on Friday. Friday Steve and Gary played golf. Steve was praying for good weather. It was only the 2nd time he has played golf since we have lived here. After golf, Gary and Linda took the boys to see Earth. Then we had a steak dinner to celebrate Linda's birthday and mothers day. Saturday they watched Jacob's soccer game then headed home after lunch. It was sad to see them go. The boys handled it pretty well. Jacob usually has a really hard time with the goodbyes, but each one gets a little easier for him.



Today we celebrated Mothers Day. It was nice. The boys got me some new plants that we planted in the yard. We went to the park, Steve washed my car and went grocery shopping. We grilled out and just played outside.



The weather was just beautiful today. We've been able to keep our windows open, which I just love. I love that fresh air scent in the house. Steve is loving having a yard to take care of. In 8 years of being married, this is the first yard we have had to maintain. We lived in a condo first then our house in Smyrna had a neighborhood lawn service. So he is really enjoying his yard. I think he is doing a great job! I will try to put a picture on soon of his hard work!
