Full House

The skating rink had no trainer skates. Instead the kids could hold onto the buckets. Jacob quickly balanced and went out on his own. Zachary did really good, but sometimes needed to ride on the buckets :_)

Steve always tormenting Amber

Forget sledding, Skyler wanted to snowboard

The week after Christmas we had a full house. My sister's family of five plus my parents, so all together we had 12 people in our house. Ages of kids 1, 4, 5, 6, 8, 12. To say the house was loud is an understatement. Did I mention 5 out of the 6 kids are boys???

The Patterson clan was coming in hopes of a great big snow and lots of snow play. Jacob prayed that God would give us another coat of snow. Everyone arrived Wednesday night the week after Christmas. Thursday morning we woke to yet another beautiful snowfall. Interestingly, Jacob didn't seem surprised at all. He had prayed for it, and he prayed expectantly.

So Thursday was a ton of fun sledding all day long. We created a great big sled hill in our backyard that is still being used today. I'm not kidding. My boys were sledding this afternoon in the backyard.

Amber's family stayed from Wednesday until Sunday. We ate, played in the snow, ate, ice skated, ate, played the Wii, and ate some more!
