Life this week

Well, we did get snow again last Friday. So my little munchkins were home again. Thankfully starting today we are warming into the 40s. We feel as if we are about to be in 70 degree weather. I can't wait to get outside with the kids to play again!!

While eating breakfast this morning, Jacob was telling me that he still wants to be an army guy when he grows up. Zachary said, "I want to be a person that sells Wiis when I grow up." He is still loving the Wii.

Andrew is really, really changing fast now. He loves his daddy! When I get him up in the morning, he points towards our bedroom and says,"Daddy, Daddy." In the evening when all the male energy is being expended on the floor, he wants to be a part of it now.

Jacob and Zachary want Andrew playing with them at all times now. Well, Zachary loves it until Drew destroys the train table or knocks down his mega blocks. Then Zach screams and calls him a destroyer. Jacob has extreme patience with him and will sit with him forever reading to him or playing with him. Both boys are very protective of him and love when I give them some independence to "watch" him for me.

Drew is now doing both his bottom scoot and a traditional hands and knee crawl to get around. He does strange movements with his body to move that are very funny. He wants to stand up but has no balance unless he is propped on something. He is very chatty and sounds as if he is speaking another language. The expressions on his face are so sweet when he is talking.

He is super interactive with his brothers now. His body can't keep up, but he is trying his best. He wants to be doing everything they are doing. I have accepted the fact that he will end up "all boy", wild, and rambunctious like my other 2 boys. Steve is always telling me to let them just be boys. Then again, he isn't home all day listening to the noise level and watching the daring stunts that are attempted. They simply can't play with something the way it was intended. Their pool sticks became battle swords, which died in battle. Their jump house has become a fort at times and a stunt house at times. I had to leave the room when I saw that they were taking running dives OUT of the jump house to see how far they could jump out of the jump house, diving down the ramp to see who could make it the furthest. Boys are just crazy!

At the end of the day when I'm totally spent from keeping them alive, I thank God for His sense of humor when He blessed me with these wild animals. I can't imagine life without a noisy house and exuberant energy.

Renee, I know how you feel on a smaller scale! I only have Jack but he is definitely "all boy" and sometimes I find myself having to bite my tongue when he's attempting a new stunt! Bobby says the same thing "let him be a boy!" I'm getting better about letting him go and do his thing but I still have to reign him in at times! We're actually expecting a little one in June! I haven't spread the word very far yet but I did want to tell you guys! Tell Steve for me! Thanks :)
